In an attempt to combat the world’s biggest problems, the United Nations adopted the Sustainable Development Goals. These 17 goals aim to eliminate extreme poverty, fight inequality, and tackle climate change. At LMcation, we strive to work in a way that is totally in keeping with The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We considered these goals carefully and consciously incorporated relevant ones into our business practices. Here’s how:
We provide work to the poor and marginalized. We give our partners access to a sustainable income, boosting their chances at a better future.
We purposefully work with underprivileged women: those who raise children on their own, those who are disabled, and those who didn’t get far in school. We give these women the fabric and the know-how, so they can earn a living for themselves and their families like men.
We provide jobs in humane working conditions that pay fair wage. We offer training to our employees so they can further develop their expertise and expand their skillset, as well as improve products to serve customers and contribute for economic growth.
We work with disadvantaged, disabled, and female populations. Each LMcation garment is cut and stitched locally in Vietnam by our small suppliers, from single mothers to the underserved and disabled. We help these marginalized populations become self-subsisting.
At our store, we pack our products in paper, canvas, and tote bags and recycled nylon bags. At our factory, we store most products using paper and carton boxes.
